By car: Lefkada is connected to the mainland by a floating bridge — no ferry needed. From Athens it is about 380 km (4 hours) via the Rio–Antirrio bridge and the Ionian motorway; from Thessaloniki about 420 km via the Egnatia motorway.
By air: Aktion National Airport (Preveza, PVK) is just 20 km from Lefkada town, with seasonal flights from many European cities and year-round connections to Athens.
By bus: KTEL Lefkada operates daily services from Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras and Preveza, and a local network across the island.
By sea: Marinas at Lefkada town, Nydri and Vasiliki welcome yachts; boats link Nydri and Vasiliki with Meganisi, Ithaca and Kefalonia in summer, and Mytikas with Kalamos and Kastos.
